Traits

No one is entirely sure why quigar skulls can look so varied. Perhaps it is a testament to their connection with the earth?

Your quigar’s skull face becomes something that is completely made up. As this is such a broad trait, this will have to be overlooked on a case by case basis. There are some guidelines however:

• You can include horns of your allowed rarities or make your own type, but they can’t imitate innate, divine, quest, or event traits unless you have a trait item of that rarity.
  • If a special trait is made that is similar to your character’s skull type, you will not be asked to change it retroactively. 
• You can invent your own skull shape and features.
• You can use skulls of mythical creatures such as unicorns, dragons, etc.
• Living modifier plus this skull can theoretically make a fleshy version of whatever creature's skull you have chosen.

ALLOWED:

• Fantastical, imaginary skull shapes that don't exist in reality
• Skulls of mythical creatures such as dragons
• Skulls for animals that don't even have bones!
• Odd anatomy and makeup (provided it still includes the quigar's eyes/third eye, as well as nostrils and a mouth.)
• Human skulls.

NOT ALLOWED:

• Real animal skulls
• Skulls of other merlotverse species.

A horn style that is a gradient with nothing else. (A gradient is considered a common horn feature otherwise)

SB horns with 3+ colors of any variety. They can be any colors and be arranged in any stripe pattern.

A complete rainbow of stripes, or a false rainbow.

Very sparse mottling where it's almost negligible. A few freckles here and there.

Any horn style that resembles bizarre shapes and patterns, such as swirls, organized polka dot patterns, etc. If you have any questions on what counts, feel free to ask!

These horns grow from both the forehead and the nose. Now that's something you don't see every day...

These horns don't exist... The sqwagul can't do magic at all!

Three in a row! Two horns growing from near the ears, and one on the forehead! Their size can be small or large. Regardless of the size, the sqwagul will have intermediate magic.

Devil horns grown into wicked, tall points. There are superstitions about these types of sqwaguls...

A single nose horn.

• Spikes down the nose and back and nose are an uncommon trait, this only is mythical if your SB's only horn is located on the tip of their nose.

Every rose has its thorns... and so do quigars?

Horns with thornlike spikes protruding from throughout their surfaces.

• This trait is a modifier, and as such, must be combined with other types of horns instead of being the only horn trait.

NOT ALLOWED:

• Cannot be the quigar's only horn trait.
• Does not cause the horns to become made out of plants or other plant matter.

Horns with overlapping spikes that resemble the shape of a pinecone.

NOT ALLOWED:

• Should not be made out of actual plant matter.

A set of 6 horns.

• This trait can be combined with other types of horns instead of being the only horn trait.

Like a unicorn... but more dangerous.

A large horn that grows from the tip of the quigar's nose.

• Can have a second, smaller horn coming from behind this first horn.
