A Faceless Stranger, Revealed

The mysterious ??? has uncloaked themselves and revealed their true identity... Rorasu, the enigmatic ringling that believes in progress above morals. Thanks to your help, they've amassed enough materials to open their new shop, the Market of Metamorphosis.

Their views may be dubious, but they aren't foolish enough to ignore the help that they have gotten. For those who have completed their mini questline, starting with Reticent Request, special perks are available. Those who possess the Alchemist's Sigil may receive a permanent 10% discount off of all items that are stocked within the Market of Metamorphosis, with potential future perks unlocking as well.

Rorasu has deemed the successful completion of Ponderous Preparations a benefit and is willing to strike up further opportunities with their business partners.

Pick up recipes for the current available items from the Market of Metamorphosis, and forage in the Strange Forest to accrue special, even rarer materials. With materials from the forest and the knowledge of this mystic art, you will be able to dabble in a small bit of bizarre alterations all on your own.

Ringling Subtypes have been discovered!

While present on the site for a very long time, subtypes for the various species in Merlot are finally going to be released to the public.

Get your claws on the new subtype items from visiting the Market of Metamorphosis, or by completing one of the new questlines available now!

Ringlings have 2 subtypes available to them now: Omen, and Harbinger.

The Metamorphosis Begins

It's not called the "Market of Metamorphosis" for no reason. Rorasu has taken a sort of twisted interest in coming up for ways to alter the appearances of others. Their ponderous powers have led to the discovery of new forms that characters can take.

Characters who want to experience the life of another species can take on a new species and see what it's like to live from a new perspective...

...and some characters have begun to shift into bizarre, unexplained forms that seem to vary widely...

Rorasu is hard at work conducting research into further alterations... so you might want to keep your eyes on them for more... and also just because they're overall an extremely suspicious individual.

Alphie Appears

A fan of roleplay and exploration of stories, Alphie has taken on the role of community mascot and is allowing himself to be depicted in whatever stories and scenarios you choose. Feel free to throw him into your stories, he's happy to help!
