Divine Involvement
"There is so much magic in this world, innate within our blood. Yet still, there remains a greater magic—ancient and powerful, transcending limitations our own powers could ever imagine—that lingers just outside the realm of the mundane lives we lead.
Those that come in contact with these powers—be the meeting purposeful or a foolish accident—are granted abilities superior to our natural abilities. Some might fear these as black curses, while other revere them as blessings from something beyond our realm…either way, they have become something more than they once were and that change is evident. Be it of their flesh or their mere aura, this change is of great power and can be felt by those who come into contact with them."
Your character can gain one of these Divine traits through their involvement with the otherworldly. Their world will be much different for them now, whether for better or worse.
THE SOURCE OF THE DIVINE
Divine traits are unanimously granted by one of the mysterious gods of the realm, all with their own whims and personalities. You do not have to depict any of them in the quest, you can show your character interacting with them through a vague means such as an ominous shadow or animated force of nature. These gods have their own associated traits, whether they be blessings or curses. These gods are as "human" as anyone on the planet are, they can be selfish, wrathful, kind, patient, or any of these all at once.
Divine Quest
You have to complete all three parts of the questline to gain the benefits. You can only pick one path: blessings or curses, you'll have to do another set of quests to gain access to the other set of traits.
1. First Contact:
In a private moment of seclusion, you are introduced to something far more powerful than anything they’ve ever known. It offers a gift: how will you accept it?
What does this interaction look like? How does your character feel in this moment? How do they accept the gift? What does the gift look like?

2. Revelation:
With great powers come even greater responsibilities…how do these powers manifest, and what does it mean for you? With these newfound abilities, how will you develop?
How does your character respond to their powers? How do these powers evolve? Do they use them for good or evil? How does this affect their personality?

In a moment of finality or desperation, your powers alter you forever. And you, in turn, alter the very world around you. How do you become distinctly different? How you drastically alter the world around you?
What does this final change look like? How do you respond to this change? How do you, with these changes, force the world around you to change?
